The expansion adds two high-speed stamping lines and a dedicated cleanroom assembly area for dome sheet arrays, bringing total monthly output to 12 million units for the automotive segment alone.
Why EV Makers Need Specialized Metal Domes
Electric vehicles impose stricter requirements on interior components than their combustion-engine predecessors. Three factors drive this demand:
1. Touchless-to-tactile transition. As EV dashboards replace physical buttons with touch screens, manufacturers are reintroducing physical keys for driving-critical functions - gear selection, drive mode, hazard lights - because touchscreens demand visual attention the driver cannot spare. A tactile metal dome provides the unambiguous feedback that prevents distracted driving.

The new 1,200-square-meter production area houses:
- Two 200-ton progressive stamping presses for square and rectangular domes, capable of producing 3,000 pieces per minute per cavity
- A Class 100,000 cleanroom for die-cut dome array assembly, eliminating contamination that causes intermittent contact
- Automated optical inspection (AOI) stations checking dome height, foot diameter and tactile ratio on every reel
- A dedicated reliability lab running cycle-life, salt-spray (96-hour) and high-low temperature shock tests
