What Is a Dome Sheet Array?

A dome sheet array — also known as a metal dome array, dome array sheet, or dome sheet — is a pre-assembled component that mounts multiple metal domes onto a single adhesive-backed PET (polyester) sheet. Each dome is precisely positioned over a corresponding contact pad on a PCB or FPC, so that when the sheet is applied, every dome lands exactly where it needs to be. Instead of placing domes one by one by hand, a dome sheet array lets you peel and stick the entire keypad layout in one step — dramatically speeding up assembly and eliminating positioning errors.
