When buying a battery, read the letters on it. Those with QA letters are dry-loaded batteries.
1. Shake the electrolyte well before adding it to the battery. Please wear gloves during operation, and be careful not to spill electrolyte on your hands or clothes.
2. For the battery without marking line, the electrolyte should be 10 to 15 mm higher than the electrode plate; For batteries with two red lines, the electrolyte shall not exceed the upper red line.
3. Some people think that the more electrolyte, the greater the charge. This is a wrong idea. When the vehicle is running at high speed, the generator output voltage is greater than the battery voltage, and the battery begins to be charged. When charging, the volume of electrolyte expands. If the electrolyte is too full, it will overflow from the small hole of the battery cover. Once the electrolyte conducts electricity and flows between the positive and negative poles of the battery, it will form a circuit self-discharge. The car cannot be started and the battery life is shortened. In this case, wipe off the electrolyte with cotton wool or rinse it with boiling water.
4. Do not let other items fall into the battery when adding electrolyte. If something falls into the water accidentally, never use metal materials to catch it. Use wooden sticks to clip out impurities; If iron wire or copper wire is used for fishing, metal molecules will enter the battery under the corrosion of sulfuric acid to form self-discharge and damage the battery.
5. Regularly check whether the small hole on the battery cover is ventilated. If the small hole is blocked, the gas generated will not be discharged, and the battery shell will be broken when the electrolyte expands, thus reducing the battery life.
6. Regularly check the level of electrolyte, and add electrolyte in time when the level drops.
7. If the vehicle is not used for a long time, it should be started every 25 days and run for about 20 minutes at medium speed. Otherwise, it will be difficult to start the car if it is left for too long.
8. When removing the battery from the vehicle, remove the negative pole first and then remove the positive pole. The installation is the opposite. When charging, the battery cover must be unscrewed. Do not use an open flame to approach the charging battery port, because the hydrogen generated in the battery is easy to deflagrate.
9. Do not replace the battery with larger capacity than the original battery. Because the power output of automobile generator is fixed. If the battery with large capacity is replaced, the new battery will not be fully charged, the car will not start smoothly, and the battery life will be shortened if the battery loses power for a long time.

Therefore, compared with the traditional battery, it has the advantages of no need to add any liquid, less corrosion to the terminal posts, wires and car body, strong overcharging resistance, and high starting current, It has the advantages of long storage time, and is very popular in China in recent years.
For wet-type batteries (lead-acid batteries), the density of the electrolyte should be adjusted according to the standards in different regions and seasons. When the electrolyte is depleted, distilled water or special make-up solution should be added, and drinking purified water should not be used instead, because the purified water contains many trace elements, which will cause adverse effects on the battery. In addition, during daily driving, check whether the small hole on the battery cover is ventilated. If the small hole on the battery cover is blocked, the hydrogen and oxygen generated cannot be discharged.
